ACTIVITY OF HYDROGEN SULFIDE PRODUCTION ENZYMES IN KIDNEYS OF RATS

An experimental research of activity and kinetic descriptions of enzymes participating in formation of hydrogen sulfide in the kidney of rats has been carried out. It was established that cystein, homocystein and thiosulphate are the basic substrates for hydrogen sulfide synthesis. The higest activity for hydrogen sulfide production belongs to thiosulfate–dithiolsulfurtransferase and cysteine aminotransferase, less activity is characteristic of cystathionine ?-synthase and cystathio-nine ?-lyase. The highest affinity to substrate is registered for thiosulfate–dithiolsulfurtransferase and cystathionine ?-lyase. It is discovered that the substrate inhibition is typical of all hydrogen sulfide formation enzymes, although this characteristic is the most expressed thiosulfat–dithiolsulfurtransferase.
